Recipeint of the Music Prize

- receives if possible the prize in May, if this is not possible it should be attempted to hold the concert in the spring.
- participates in a press conference before the awards concert.
- does as much as possible so that the concert can contractually be transmitted on TV and radio.
- participates in a dinner with the Board of Directors of the Music Foundation in connection with the concert (for example 1-3 days before).
- participates in a short reception with the foundation’s guests after the awards concert.
It would be appreciated that the award recipient
- in connection with the concert was available for a master class or similiar arrangements with Danish music students.
- if the award recipient is a composer could possibly compose a new work (on agreement and with pay) for the Music Foundation.
- if possible includes a Danish composed work in the concert program.
The arrangers of the concert would of course pay the honorarium, travel expenses and housing.
The award is normally presented immediately before the concert intermission. A member of the board speaks, after which a diploma is presented in Danish with reasons for the choice, a check along with a note including a translation of the reasons for giving the diploma. Then there is a brief expression of gratitude given by the recipient.
