Lise Davidsen

has a bachelor’s degree from the Grieg Academy in Bergen and a master’s degree from The Royal Danish Academy of Music. She is studying under Susanna Eken at The Academy of Opera in Copenhagen. She has appeared with several Norwegian symphony orchestras, also as a soloist with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra in 2011. She has taken part in master classes with Elena Obraztsova, Jocelyne Dienst, José van Damm, Ton Koopman, Andreas Schmidt and Helmut Deutsch. In 2012 she made her debut as Owl and Dog in Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen at The Danish Royal Theatre and in 2013 she sang Emilia in Othello. In 2014 she is to sing Rosalinde in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus at The Royal Danish Theatre.

Scholarship from the Léonie Sonning Music Foundation

The scholarship of Kr. 60,000 used for studying singing under Fiona MacSherry in Manchester and Susanna Eken in Copenhagen as well as for a German course in Berlin.
