Maria Steinaa

was born in 1993. She started playing the flute at the age of nine at Sankt Annæ Gymnasium, continuing at MGK (musical basic programme). At the age of 17, she was accepted as a student at The Royal Danish Academy of Music, with Toke Lund Christiansen as her teacher. She has won several prizes at the Berlingske Tidende Music Competition and been a finalist in Øresunds Solist. Maria Steinaa has taken part in master classes with, among others, Andrés Adorján, Ulla Miilmann and Pierre-Yves Artaud.

Scholarship

The scholarship of Kr. 60,000 used for flute studies in Berlin under, among others, Andreas Blau, The Berliner Philharmoniker.
