Theodor Lyngstad

was born in 1993 in Trondheim, Norway. He is in his 3rd year at RDAM, studying under Morten Zeuthen. He is an active chamber musician and is a member of the Alba String Quartet. As a member of the string trio Trio Patetico, he was named musician of the year at the Youth Music Championship in Oslo in 2011. With various ensembles he has played at chamber music festivals in Helsinki, Horten and Trondheim and has also participated at the Trondheim International Chamber Music Academy under the leadership of Hatto Beyerle. He has been section leader in Ungdomssymfonikerne and Nuso, Norway’s national youth orchestra, and also has experience as a soloist with a number of youth and amateur orchestras as well as Trondheim Symfoniorkester. Theodor Lyngstad has won 1st prize in the Sparre Olsen competition, and at the Youth Music Championship in Oslo.

Scholarship

The scholarship of DKK 60,000 will be used to buy a new cello bow.
