Anne Holm-Nielsen gained her BA from The Royal Danish Academy of Music, where she studied under Tove Lønskov, Anne Øland and Tim Frederiksen. In 2012 she made her debut with chamber music and accompaniment as her special subjects from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Aarhus, where she was taught by Anne Øland and Søren Rastogi.

Anne Holm-Nielsen is an active chamber player, e.g. in the piano trio Trio Dania. She is also co-founder of the ensemble Modern Tango Quintet, which issued its first CD in 2006.

Biography

Anne Holm-Nielsen (b. 1981) started to play the piano at the age of ten. She made her debut as a soloist with a symphony orchestra when she was twelve, and has won 1st prize in the Berlingske Tidende Classical Music Competition as well as prizes in the Danske Steinway Festival such as 1st prize and VIP prize in 1996.

Anne Holm-Nielsen gained her BA from The Royal Danish Academy of Music, where she studied under Tove Lønskov, Anne Øland and Tim Frederiksen. In 2012 she made her debut with chamber music and accompaniment as her specialities from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Aarhus, where she was taught by Anne Øland and Søren Rastogi. Anne is the pianist in the piano trio Trio Dania, which often gives concerts in musical society and at festivals nationwide. She is also co-founder of the ensemble Modern Tango Quintet, which issued its acclaimed first CD in 2006.

Anne has received a great number of grants and has taken part in master classes with, among others, Mikhail Rudy, Helmut Deutsch and Rudolf Jansen. She has given concerts in a great many countries.

Anne Holm-Nielsen has a BA degree in musicology and Italian from the University of Copenhagen.

Scholarship from the Léonie Sonning Music Foundation

Anne Holm-Nielsen has received a scholarship of DKK  60.000
The scholarship is to be used for studies in Rome in spring 2013 with the pianist Mirta Herrera – focusing on accompaniment and chamber music.
