Katrin Raasthøj Mathiesen was born in 1997 and grew up in Greve, Denmark. She started playing the clarinet when she was seven years old at Greve Municipal Music School. She has since taken a bachelor’s degree at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, been on an exchange at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, and is currently studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with John Kruse. Katrin has played both at home and abroad e.g., at The Royal Chapel, the Danish Entertainment Orchestra, the Royal Lifeguards Music Corps and the Malmö Symphony Orchestra.
